Atlantic City Convention Center Rooftop Photovoltaic Array
Atlantic City, NJ
This project involved the design of a roof mounted solar panel array at the Convention Center in Atlantic City. At the time of design it was the largest engineered and installed set of solar panels on the East coast.
In conjunction with American Capital Energy, this design afforded the Ownership harvesting of the sun's power in an economically and ecologically prudent manner. The approximately 13,500 solar panels were connected directly to the buildings electrical system by way of four (4), 500 kW inverters. Power in the range of 2.4 megawatts (STC) will be harvested from this array over the next 20 - 35 years.
This is representative of over 4.5 megawatts (STC) of clean, renewable energy design projects by Aztech Engineers, Inc. and it paves the way to save our clients millions of dollars in utility costs annually.
