Waterbury City Hall - Restoration
Waterbury, CT
This project involves the complete historic renovation of this 90,000 square foot architectural gem originally designed by the prominent turn of the century Architect Cass Gilbert. All building mechanical, electrical plumbing, fire alarm and fire protection systems have been completely upgraded to meet the requirements of a state of the art municipal headquarters while maintaining the historic integrity of the building
Careful coordination among all parties and intense fieldwork were paramount to route mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services around the historically significant walls and ceilings, which seam to be everywhere in this building. Besides completely renovating the historic lighting fixtures the concept was to have the mechanical and electrical systems to be as imperceptible as possible.
The project was completed under budget to a very tight time schedule.
