Social Security Administration - Tenant Fit-Out, Pawtucket, RI
Aztech Engineers started this project when the property was purchased. At the owner’s request, we provided inspection services as well as review of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection (MEP) systems. We then prepared a report to recommended upgrades and related renovation strategies that would help entice a tenant such as the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Once the SSA decided to relocate to 2-4 Pleasant Street in Pawtucket, RI, Aztech had performed the MEP design as well as the overall design management for this 10,000 square foot tenant improvement project .
The SSA has stringent requirements and standards for HVAC control and power quality. In order to fully understand all the SSA’s HVAC requirements, we thoroughly studied their technical manual as well as had comprehensive interaction with their technical consultants. Many of the systems had to be upgraded to meet their standards and Aztech conceived design approaches that fulfilled these standards in a cost effective manner that both the building owner and SSA were able to agree upon.
As it was a large office, relocation time and coordination were critical. The SSA was able to relocate with time to spare and a minimum of disruption to their operations.
